Description

Truck manufacturer, Scania, is planning to re-employ 300 employees in Sweden and 200 in its European factories. The company says the expansion and higher production rate is necessary in order to meet the rising demand. The number re-employed corresponds to one fourth of the employees who did not get their temporary contracts extended as a result of the economic crisis in 2008. The redundant workers will be re-employed on temporary contracts spanning over the next six months, with a possibility of an extension of an additional six months.
