Playtex, a company that produces underwear and belongs to the multinational Dim Branded Apparel, is to close its plant located at Pomezia, in the province of Rome, with the consequent loss of 120 jobs. The closure should take effect as of June 2010.

The trade unions reacted to the company's decision blockading the plant's gates, and demanding the involvement of national and local authorities in order to find solutions to avoid the plant closure.
