Description
Ericsson, a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment, is to cut 115 jobs in its Italian plants by the end of 2010. In particular, the job-cuts should involve the research and development division and the sites located at Genova (the most part of job-cuts), Pagani (in the province of Salerno), Vimodrone (in the province of Milano), and Pisa.
The trade unions have requested the involvement of national authorities in order to avoid the dismissals of high-skilled workers.
