Description
The Casino de la Vila in the town of la Vila Joiosa in Alicante, part of the Casinos del Mediterráneo chain, closed its doors on 19 March following a unilateral decision on the part of the company and without prior warning to the 121 affected workers. The workers have reported Casinos del Mediterráneo for unfair dismissal, as their representatives do not accept the economic data provided by Casinos del Mediterráneo to justify the closure. The chain alleges losses of 14 million euro, but the workers' representative said that what the company intends is a "closure without any possible justification".
