Description

The 3G Mobile chain went into voluntary liquidation in January 2010 following the failure of talks with telecommunications company Eircom about an investment in the group. 3G Mobile faced mounting debts. 3G Mobile had 27 shops around Ireland. The group employed 160 people, all of whom have lost their jobs in the liquidation. Staff had been placed on temporary lay-off while the company considered its options.
