The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The 3G Mobile chain went into voluntary liquidation in January 2010 following the failure of talks with telecommunications company Eircom about an investment in the group. 3G Mobile faced mounting debts. 3G Mobile had 27 shops around Ireland. The group employed 160 people, all of whom have lost their jobs in the liquidation. Staff had been placed on temporary lay-off while the company considered its options.
