Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Printing house Hansaprint started negotiations on Tuesday with staff over the loss of as many as 170 jobs. According to C.E.O. Timo Ketonen it is yet not known in which locations these cuts will take place. The company has personnel mainly in Turku and Vantaa. These negotiations have been justified by the need for cost savings and making the activity of the company more efficient. Production is to be cut to correspond with declining demand.
