Description
Swedish daiper manufacturer SCA is to relocate its retail production from Linselles, France to Olawa, Poland with the loss of 280 jobs. The offshoring operation is to be completed by the middle of 2011 with the group looking to save €15 million per yer. Unions were angered upon hearing the announcement but after a week of strike action were content with a delay in the scheduled closing of the plant and with the news that management were looking into the possibility of 'reindustrialising' the site.
