Description

Human resources company Ceridian is to increase its workforce by 310, from the current 280 to 590, by 2014, as it relocates to a new purpose built site at Braehead, Renfrewshire. The company, which provides HR services to clients such as Asda and Lloyds Banking Group, says the new positions will be in administration, payroll processing, employee support and finance and expense management. Ceridian is receiving more than £3m in support from the Scottish government, made up of £1.83m through Scottish Enterprise, £1.7m in Regional Selective Assistance, and a Training Plus grant of £134,000. As he announced the funding, First Minister Alex Salmond said: "Ceridian's decision to expand its Scottish operation, which is now its largest centre of excellence in the UK, is testament to the quality and skills of the local workforce and the reputation and strength of staff at the Hillington site."
