Description
Delta, a group which offers financial services, is to cut 596 jobs out of 787. Since May 2009 the group has been placed under extraordinary administration proceedings. The group is involved in judicial investigations for laundering of money. The commission of the extraordinary administration is engaged in seeking banking groups interested in buying the Delta group. It announced the job cuts in order to reduce the costs.
The trade unions have required the involvement of the Italian Banking Groups Association (Abi) in order to find solutions to preserve employment within the Delta group.
