Description
Moravan-Aviation, a Czech aircraft manufacturer with a long tradition (since 1934), has been declared bankrupt. About 150 people have already lost their jobs since July 2009 when the insolvency of the company started. This is the second bankruptcy in the company's recent history (the first was in 2004). In 2006, Irish firm QuacomHaps became a new holder of the plant and saved the jobs of about 170 people who were working there (see related fact sheet No 8614).
