Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Enics Eesti, the electronic equipment manufacturing company, has announced the creation of at least 100 jobs at their Elva plant in Southern Estonia.
The business expansion is mainly the result of increasing production volumes in the Elva plant. According to the reports from the company as of March 2010, 50 people have already been recruited and a new recruitment of the same size is already in process. Both production workers and specialists are being recruited.
Enics Eesti is the Estonian subsidiary of the Finnish Enics. In addition to Finland, Enics has operations in China, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland and Estonia, totalling seven plants in Europe and Asia. Enics has a total of around 2,300 employees.
