Description

IT company ST-Ericsson has announced 500 job cuts as part of a worldwide restructuring plan. According to the management, this restructuring is due «to recent changes in the business environment and reduced demand for legacy products». Some 100 voluntary departures will occur in France (see factsheet 18259). However, it is unknown the exact locations of the affected units and further details of the restructuring will be released after consultation with the employee representatives.
