Description
Ethel Austin and sister chain Au Natural are to cut another 752 staff nationwide, with the announcement by its administrators MCR that a further 81 stores will shut by the end of March. The news follows an announcement last month that 124 stores would close. 696 jobs will be lost directly from stores whilst another 56 losses will be at the company's head office in Knowsley, Merseyside. The company went into administration for the second time earlier this year and MCR claim this next round of cuts is due to failure to find a buyer, and to enable trade to continue in the meantime. No details were given on the number currently employed by the company.
