Description
Supermarket chain Tesco announced plans to close its distribution centre in Middlewich resulting in the loss of 426 jobs. The cuts are a result of Tesco's decision to halt plans to build a superstore in the area. The company has been in consultation with unions and hopes to deploy staff to different sites and to keep compulsory redundancies to a minimum.
