Description
M-real, a Scandinavian paper manufacturer, will close its paper pulp plant in Alizay reducing 103 jobs. Production in Alizay has already stopped in March 2009. 94 employees are to be dismissed directly. The company justifies the closure with the plant being in deficit and the low demand for its products.
M-real employs 412 workers in its three French sites. The other locations will not be affected by the restructuring.
