Vauxhall has announced 523 job losses in Luton, Bedfordshire. 369 of these will be from the van plant, 15 more than announced in November 2009, although van production will continue at the site until at least 2013. 154 of the cuts will be in administration and retail, approximately half of which will be from Griffin House in the town. The Ellesmere Port factory in Cheshire will be unaffected. No details were given of when the job losses would be completed by.
