469 job losses have been announced as Ethel Austin and its sister company Au Naturale went into administration this week. The cuts will happen at the head office and distribution depot in Knowsley, Merseyside. The companies' administrator MCR also announced that 129 of the 429 stores would shut if they cannot find a buyer, incurring further job losses. This is the second time Ethel Austin has gone into administration in two years. No date was given by which job losses are expected to be completed.
