Description
Sony Ericsson, the Sweden-based telecommunication systems provider, has announced 1500 job cuts. This is the second largescale restructuring announcement within one year. In April 2009, the company announced the dismissal of 5,000 employees worldwide (15033). Poor results have led the company to extend the scope of their restructuring. According to management, the restructuring has been caused by the fall in sales of their handset units.
