The food producer Starch Hungary is to create 137 new jobs by the end of 2010 at its new site in Zalaszentiván. The project also benefits from a job creation subsidy of HUF640 million (€2.3 million) granted by the Hungarian state. Trial operation is scheduled for the end of the spring, while full functioning is expected to be reached by the end of 2010. In addition to the 137 jobs 1,500 families from the region will benefit from the investment as suppliers of raw material.
