Description

140 jobs to be lost as the owner of the discount fashion retailers Happit has been placed in administration. 60 jobs have already been lost as fourteen stores in Scotland have been closed and another 80 job losses have been announced as another 15 stores in England have been closed by administrators Begbies Traynor. Increased competition has been blamed. However, more than half the company's stores will remain open as attempts are made to find a buyer. No details were given on numbers currently employed by the company or the date by which job losses are expected to be completed.
