European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The French pharmaceutical group Sanofi-Aventis announced its intention to cut 43 jobs at its site in Diegem. The measure reduces the workforce in Diegem by 13%. According to management, the reason for restructuring is generic competition for its anticoagulant Plavix.
