Airline BMI has announced that it plans to cut around 600 jobs. The job losses form part of a restructuring plan which involves reducing the number of aircrafts and suspending loss making routes. The airline has indicated that cuts will be made throughout the business, but that it hopes to avoid compulsory redundancies. The company blamed the recession and reduced dmand for its services for the decision to restructure.
