European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The German manufacturer of electric domestic appliances Miele Tehnica announced the intention to hire 300 employees in the factory located in Brasov. For the time being, the plant has 80 employees. The total investment in the new plant was 24 million euro worth. One of the reasons for choosing the Brasov plant is the proximity to the 'Transilvania' University where part of the future workforce will come from.Last year the German group reported a global turnover of 2.7 billion euro and had a total workforce of 16,000 people.
