Description

Option Wireless, a Cork based wireless technology company, has announced 150 job losses. The plant is the company's main customisation, logistics and fulfilment site and has been responsible for adding value to the basic product by customising it with firmware and software. The Belgian parent has confirmed that the restructuring of its Cork operation is intended to achieve savings of €20 million - with the activities conducted in Cork to be transferred to lower-cost regions in Asia.
