The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sonica, the owner of various CD and entertainment stores in Belgium (68 in total) has declared bankruptcy with 390-421 job losses. The company has not been profitable for two years. Trade unions continue to hope that a competitor will buy out fifty of the stores.
