Description
After an extraordinary work council, UCB, a biopharmaceutical company, announced a restructuring plan including 174 dismissals at its site of Braine-l'Alleud. The R&D department is the most affected: 122 jobs are threatened. In September 2008, an earlier restructuring plan had been implemented leading to 300 job losses. The number of job losses was reduced to 139 in the second official notification of redundancies.
