Description
Japanese manufacturer Honda will stop manufacturing motorcycles at Santa Perpètua de la Mogoda (Barcelona) at the end of March 2010 and the production will be offshored to Honda unit in Italy. This measure will result in the dismissal of 180 employees from a current workforce of 340. The decision was attributed to the economic recession, according to the business daily Nikkei. The firm's Santa Perpètua factory has production capacity for 50,000 units a year and from March will continue manufacturing parts.
