Description
Sara Lee, the producer of packaged breads and industrial pastries under the brand name Bimbo, is stopping production at its plant in Almansa (Albacete) where it has a workforce of 120. The company aims to adapt its production capacity as it has seen "a clear decline in industrial activity". For this reason, the plan is to concentrate its production at its other plants. This decision, which has been taken as part of a reorganisation of its bakery business in Spain, is "essential" for Sara Lee to stay competitive and hold on to the rest of its workforce.
