Description
Approximately 800 people working in Lithuania's Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant are set to lose their jobs following the facility's closure at the end of 2009 in Ignalina region. At present 2,700 employees are employed in the Nuclear Power Plant. The rest 1,900 people will remain employed at the Ignalina facility for some time to help with decommissioning projects. According to the management, more than 300 jobs will be cut until the end of the year 2009 and around 500 - at the beginning of 2010.
