European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 29 October 2009, SGL and BMW announced a joint venture which will create 180 jobs. The carbon materials manufacturer and automobile producer will create two new production sites in Germany and North America. Construction of the production plants is to begin in 2010. The sites will manufacture carbon fibres to be used in the automotive industry.
