British Airways has announced plans to cut 1200 jobs. The cuts are blamed on a revenue fall of 13.7% to £4.1bn over the six-month summer holiday season , compared with £4.75bn in 2008. As of 9 November 2009 no specific date has been given for the implementation of the redundancies. However, the latest announcement means that the airline will have cut a total of 4,900 positions by March 2010.
