European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In recent months, 150 dismissals have been enacted with the closure of DIY and homeware 4-Home stores throughout Ireland. The company blames the recession's impact on consumer confidence which has decreased demand by reducing discretionary spending on home improvement.
