Description

Manufacturer of wireless security devises Harris Corporation announced 14 October that it will dismiss 119 workers with the closure of its plant in Cork. The company's statement said that "this decision is the result of a thorough assessment of business considerations and existing capabilities elsewhere in the company. It is no reflection on the valued performance of our employees." The company has an annual revenue of $5b (€3.36b) and employs about 15,000 workers.
