European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Estonian supermarket chain operator A-Selver will lay off 220 employees with the planned discontinuation of its operations in Latvia. The company opened 6 locations in Estonia in 2008. Council chairman Andres Järving said, "Selver decided to expand in Latvia at a time when the depth of the crisis that has taken place by now could not be predicted by anyone."
