The media found out about it because it was made public that the company received HUF 83 million (€307,500) of governmental subsidies from the workplace conservation programme by the National Employment Foundation. Thanks to this subsidy, the work of the remaining 200 employees is secured for at least one year and the company can avoid the introduction of a four day work week.Kirchhoff, whose Hungarian plant was expanded in 2007, manufactures metal parts for Suzuki Swift and SX4, both manufactured in the same city.
