Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
KP Factory announced it will restart producton in the Kohila paper factory, creating about 200 new jobs. The factory was previously closed down in spring 2009 due to offshoring by the former owner, Atlanta Office Products (see also factsheet 13156).
According to the press release, KP Factory will continue manufacturing paper stationery with a larger focus on product development. The products will be sold in domestic markets as well as abroad (e.g.Scandinavian and Eastern European countries). The company also hopes to improve the labour market situation in the local region by offering new jobs.
