Description
Kockums, which designs, builds and maintains submarines and naval surface vessels will eliminate 248 employees by relocating from Malmö to Karlskrona. The layoff comes as a result of reduced orders and organisational restructuring. The company has informed the employees and started negotiations with the involved unions. New employment will possibly be created in Karlskrona. Kockums is part of the Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems Group, and specialies in production of naval vessels that incorporate advanced stealth technology.
