Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The factory of rescue equipment for mining, Fabryka Sprzętu Ratunkowego i Lamp Górniczych Faser, will dismiss 120 people (out of a total workforce of 620) from its factory in Tarnowskie Góry by the end of 2009. Among others, the company produces air breathing apparatus, oxygen breathing apparatus, masks, hoods, gas filtres, battery lamps and charging units, control and measuring equipment.
