European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The textile company Associated Weavers is about to close its tufting unit located in Kuurne, Flanders. This measure will concern 111 jobs. Papilio, the unit that imports carpets from Asia, will remain in Kuurne. Associated Weavers is severely concerned for the last few years with the decrease in demand for carpets and competition with Asian manufacturers.
