European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Iskra Mehanizmi from Lipnica in the Gorenjska region is a supplier company for the automotive industry. Its main products are electronic components for cars, electromechanical counter meters and pulse counters, and various small electronic appliances. Due to economic downturn the company faced a 40% drop in orders in the last quarter of 2008, which led to 50 redundancies in the first quarter of 2009. The company is now introducing a lot of new products; 35% of this year's sales has been realised with products introduced in 2009.
