German car parts manufacturer, Kuka Systems, has announced that Kuka Systems France (KSF) is slated to shut down 2 sites in 2009. KSF plans to cut a total of 144 jobs in Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Tours in center of France between August and December 2009.
The CEO has announced that theses closures are important because the group is optimising its business in France to adapt its capacity to the decline in activity.
The unions called on employees to prepare for massive industrial action.
