Description
Qinvest, an investment, bank, has created 3000 new jobs in Poland through its investment in the Szczecin shipyard.
On 30 June 2009, the Polish Minister of the Treasury announced that Qinvest, Qatar's largest investment bank, will take a stake in the Szczecin shipyard (Stocznia Szczecin). Under its new ownership, the Szczecin shipyard will hire 3,000 workers by late 2009, and it will build specialised ships and an assortment of maritime-related equipment, also for defence applications.
