European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Legrand, a Portuguese electrical equipment specialist, will submit to the Portuguese authorities and sector trade unions a plan for a 77 worker reduction in its current workforce of 390.The company justifies this dismissal with a dramatic reduction in sales in the export market due to the economic recession in Spain, Greece, Poland, Turkey and Russia among others.
