Description
The municipality of Trollhättan gives notice to 160 out of a total of approximately 5000 employees. The reason for the redundancies is the weak economy of the municipality. A majority of businesses in Trollhättan are related to the automobile industry, which has been strongly affected by the economic recession. Because of the decrease in tax revenue, the municipality is forced to introduce savings pro-grammes and reduce the number of employees.
