Description

BAE Systems Hägglund, a manufacturer of military vehicles, announced 24 February that 100 employees were given termination notices at the unit in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. 1 July a new announcement of notices affecting 325 employees, 225 more than the first notice, was given. The company announced that the dismissal is a direct result of Swedish Defence Materiel Administration FMV's decision to choose the "Finnish company AMV" instead of "Hägglunds SEP" to manfacture a new vehicle for the Swedish Armed Forces.
