Description

Kopp Elektrotechnika, a German producer of electrical devices, is to axe all 170 jobs with the closure of its plant in Kaplice by the end of 2009. The foreign owner of the company has decided to move the production to North Africa (Tunisia) in order to increase profitability. According to CEO, redundant workers will be given statutory severance pay. However trade union have called for supplementary payouts.
