European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The management board of Ruch, the press distributor, is to complete the second round of the restructuring plan in the second half of 2009, with the result of 500 job losses (out of a workforce of 4,850) by the end of the year. The restructuring will also entail changes to Ruch's organisational structure; the number of units across the country will be reduced from 422 to 216, and the number of management executive positions from 88 to 14.
