European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dynäs mill, by the river in Vaja, was established in 1884 and acquired by Mondi in 2000. Today the plant produces 230.000 tons of Sack Kraft Paper and Kraft Paper. Mondy Dynäs Group is an integrated packaging and business paper producer, employing 33,400 people across 35 countries worldwide. The dismissals in Vaja are due to a weakening market.
