Description
Plastic Omnium, a French car component manufacturer, is to close its plant in Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc in northern France, by June 2009. The site employs 219 workers. The decision has been prompted by a decline in sales of vehicles manufactured at Renault site in nearby Sandouville, to which Plastic Omnium supplies bumpers. The production is likely to be transferred to three other Plastic Omnium plants in France. Around 100 workers are being offered opportunities of transfer within the group.
