Description

Manitou, a producer of fork-lift trucks, is to cut 384 jobs. 264 job cuts were announced at the beginning of 2009, and another 120 in April 2009. The restructuring plan will reportedly be implemented on a voluntary basis rather than through compulsory redundancies. The cuts will concern Manitou BF in Ancenis, Cimm in Candé, BTMI in Beaupréau and Aumont in Laillé.

At the end of 2008 the company employed 1,400 workers in Ancenis, France.
